Customer Support NOC Engineer L1

The position

The Technical Support Engineer is tasked with recording, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues on a 24/7 basis. Additionally, the Engineer plays an active role in escalation processes and coordinates with various internal and external teams. By ensuring swift and effective resolution of reported cases, the team maintains a high standard of technical support and service for our customers in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-line technical support through phone and email channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity.
  • Escalate complex cases to advanced support teams when appropriate.
  • Accurately document support cases, resolutions, and follow-up actions within the ticketing system.
  • Guide customers with step-by-step solutions and communicate best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify recurring issues and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and timely issue resolution.
  • Ability to work in shifts and coordinate with different shift teams.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles and internal documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Networks, Informatics, Telecommunications, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills
  • Fluent in Greek and English
  • Certifications (CompTIA, MTA, ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, MTCNA, Sophos, etc) will be considered a plus
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment is desirable
